Day One

Day one on 8-Bit PZ was a radio intercept that announced the first day of the game servers re-launch after a server wipe the message details the struggles of survivors in Knox County.

"This is KCRS – Knox County Radio Signal – transmitting on emergency frequency 107.7. If you're hearing this, congratulations. You're still alive.

It's Day 1 in this new world. Streets are quiet but not empty. Survivors are beginning to settle into neighborhoods, reclaiming homes, barricading windows, and looting what's left of the stores.

Reports from the northern checkpoint say a lone medic took over a police station—turned it into a makeshift safehouse. We’ve also received word of scattered groups fortifying an island outpost just off the highway.

But... listen closely. There's new chatter from the field—something strange. Some of the infected are wearing black hazmat suits—not the yellow CDC types we saw early on. These ones are different. Lightly armored, no IDs, no insignias... and they don’t travel alone.

Field recon from survivors claims that when taken down, these black hazmat corpses carry injectable vials, sealed meds, even prototype antivirals. Some think they were part of a last-ditch effort to distribute a cure. Others think they were sent in to contain something worse.

If you spot one—don't hesitate. They’re tough, but what they carry could save your life... or someone else's.

Keep your radios on. Keep logged in on Discord Stay out of sight after sundown. Trust no one outside your circle.

This has been your daily broadcast... from above KCRS, signing off—for now."
